Selected Orientation

The Selected Orientation picker displays and determines the orientation of all drawn strokes and objects, if the tool is capable of changing its orientation. The icon shows a pencil, pointing toward the direction of drawing; by default it’s pointing straight down (onto the canvas) so you see the tip of the eraser. You can drag within this picker to change the orientation, or click and drag to the canvas to select the orientation at that point.

Once Ori

The Mouse Down Orientation button causes brush strokes and objects to orient themselves to the canvas when first clicked, and hold that orientation throughout the following brush stroke. This has no effect on tools, such as paint brushes, which are always applied in one orientation.

Cont Ori

The Continuous Orientation button causes brush strokes and objects to orient themselves to the information on the canvas, continuously while dragging. This has no effect on tools, such as paint brushes, which are always applied in one orientation.
